Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory (Gluten-free caramel apples)

photoA little bit of diligent research goes a long way!  After having posted the article about caramel apples yesterday, I went out on a mission to find gluten-free versions.

Fortunately, there is the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory!  Founded in 1981 with stores in 29 states, including Hawaii and retailers in Canada, Japan, South Korea and the United Emirates, you are bound to find a store located near you.

They offer many types of caramel apples but if you stick to the basics, you will have found a gluten-free version.  Their web page lists their plain caramel apple ingredients as: Apples, Evaporated Milk, Glucose, Sugar, Invert Sugar, Whipping Cream, Butter, Vanilla, Salt.

I tried the almond encrusted apples last night, they were delicious and most importantly, gluten-free.  No reaction to speak of and satisfaction resulting from being able to have my first treat of the fall season!
